Work continues getting our new vessel rescue ready

Although COVID-19 has placed some challenges on our organisation, getting our new vessel ready for summer has started to continue after we took a small break to ensure our volunteers where kept safe during these uncertain times.

Installation of our Raymarine electronic equipment from Bendigo 1 continues which includes Chart Plotter’s, FLIR (Infrared Night Vision Camera), Radar, GPS, AIS & Depth sounder.

We continue to work with the necessary anchorites (AMSA, MAST & SLST) to ensure Kingborough Rescue 1 has the relevant paperwork to allow it to operate as a rescue vessel in our Tasmanian waters.

Our on water Boat Lift System is currently being built by a local company PFG Group at Goodwood, Tasmania.
